Small Modern Bathroom Vanities

I admit I’m bathroom-curious.  When I visit a person, I have to see what they’ve done with the bath, and to be honest, it seems that any time someone has a small bathroom, they just let it go. There’s little attempt to make it look great. Satisfactory, yes, but not great.

It doesn’t have to be this way, you know.  It’s possible, with a few tricks, to decorate your small bathroom in a modern style that will “wow” both your guests and your family.

At the center of this small, modern bathroom will be your bathroom vanity.  A vanity for a small bathroom?  That’s right.  There are lots of good options in bathroom vanities that will fit nicely in a small bathroom.  And by buying a modern style, you can enhance the new, modern look you’re trying to create for your bath.

For instance, I was browsing the HomeDesignOutletCenter.com website the other day, and saw several nice options in modern bathroom vanities that work well even in the smaller rooms.  Of particular note were the 23 and 24 inch units which are mounted on the wall.  A two-foot-wide vanity fits in almost any bathroom, and the impact it makes on the room is absolutely dramatic. And they’re generally available for the $600 range.

Even a 36 inch unit vanity, when it’s wall-mounted, leaves plenty of room in all but the smallest of bathrooms.  And with the 36 inch model, you’ll have lots more room to store your towels, wash cloths, soaps, etc.

If you live in a home with more than one bath (for instance, one full and one half), then the situation is even better.  You could perhaps use the half bath for the children, who won’t require much storage space anyway.  For them, even the smallest vanity will be enough to hold their linens.

In creating your modern bathroom, the job doesn’t end with the vanity, however. Even in a small bathroom, you can consider placing some other furniture.  What you put in there will, of course, depend on how much space you have, but perhaps a small table or shelf will be helpful and attractive.  And if you go with shelves, these take up no additional floor space.

Finally, a modern bath, small or large, will be enhanced with some nice marble tile, such as in the shower or even on the floor. All of these steps will demonstrate that a bathroom need not be large to be modern and attractive.
